This is a worksheet, where students have to identify whether each expression is, overall, positive or negative. It contains 50 questions on one concise but very tidily presented sheet. It's clear and straightforward, and practice makes perfect. There are easy questions to start, and then it later progresses to more challenging towards the end. See picture 1 to get an idea of the layout, and pictures 2, 3 and 4 to get an idea of the style of questions contained on the sheet. Please note: The val

This product contains a total of 30 task cards about thousands, hundreds, tens and units / ones. Students must examine each task card and decide how many thousands, hundreds, tens and units / ones each number on the task card contains. The first page has two sample cards, which I print and hang on the wall, so that kids can look in case they forget how to do some of the cards. Cards 1 – 20 have numbers with hundreds, tens and units / ones, cards 21 – 30 have cards with thousands, hundreds, te

This worksheet contains 32 one – step equations. I normally only use this as a handy starter worksheet, where pupils must simply shade in which function must be used on order to solve the one – step equation – add, subtract, divide or multiply. I use the worksheet like this, as it is a slight break from the normal humdrum of simply completing exercises, even though it can also be used as a “solving equations” worksheet. PLEASE NOTE: this product is included in my Algebra 1 packet, please click b

About the store

Experience

12 years teaching Math at a variety of levels (Primary to grade 12 including Pre-Calc, Algebra I and II, IGCSE, A-Levels, SAT I and II, GCSE, O-levels etc), Chemistry AP; A - level, and SAT II, Physics, Bio AP and Bio SAT. Primary English, primary science, English ESL, English as a language. Have taught higher and lower level in my subject areas to young and old advanced.

Teaching style

I like to challenge the students and create activities that make them scratch their heads and have to think about a topic or situation. I try to make each topic as applicable to everyday examples as I can. Being able to regurgitate information is one thing, but I like to see students thinking outside the box.

My own education history

Bachelor or science Education (Honours), Taught masters in Software localisation.

Additional biographical information

I come from Ireland, but have lived and worked in an environment that is mostly concerned with American curriculum or British curriculum, in that time teaching mainly Math and the three Sciences (chemistry, physics and biology, as well as ecology and environmental science etc) and English as a language.
