Mathsessed

I used this activity in my class at the beginning of the year. It helped me to learn their names and had the kids doing math at the same time. In the large box at the top the students write their name and decorate it how they'd like. Then the students use their first and last name and create a fraction for the number of vowels and consonants. After they figure that out (and simplify the fractions, of course) they have to change it into a decimal and a percent. This was a great activity to do
