This is a two day exploration of the connections between sine waves and music. It ties in various iPad apps to help students see how all music is composed of sine waves. I have also created a smore flyer to go along with the lesson: https://www.smore.com/gy9h4

This is a fun activity to do with a PreCal or Trig class to work on modeling sin and cosine functions with real-world data. I usually do it over two days, one to gather data and one to make in-class presentations of their graphs.
