This product was made to use with Texas 4th graders. As a teacher one of the things we are always limited on is time!! So I created this as a 10 day STAAR READINESS Review strategy that should take 15-20 minutes. All the questions hit the 13 Readiness standards of 4th graders. This resource is a 24 task card activity complete with a recording sheet and answer key. I made this activity to model 3.5E with only addition and subtraction to scaffold instruction. The questions start off easy and then progress to harder more wordier questions. So I made these QRs to link to VIDEOS not just answers!! This videos are about 1 minute each and are great to ensure that the students are not practicing it wrong!! This activity is similar to 'chutes and ladders'. You are given a snakes and ladders game board and 30 question task cards. Students take turns flipping a question card and answering. If they get the question correct they get to move the number of spots indicated on the card. But watch out if you land on a snake you must slide down. First to the end wins :) All questions are modeled after the released STAAR questions 4.2G

This 5 station rotation activity is aligned with Texas STAAR TEKS (5.2(B) compare and order two decimals to thousandths and represent comparisons using the symbols >, <, or =). I have taken images of Pokemon Go and adjusted their Combat Power to be rational numbers to the thousandths where students get to compare. Get students engaged with this great 5 station rotation!!!
