Have you been looking for a STEAM project that really incorporates the math and science! Well, you have it right at your fingertips! This project is an engaging way to incorporate the engineering design process which actually has the kids use science, technology, engineering, and art, and math. Students will not want to stop. This project is a great way to introduce measuring with students of all ages. You can do basic measuring with K-1 with a ruler using inches and centimeters. Then increase the expectation with 2-6 using area and perimeter. If you want, you can even include volume depending on your students. Either way you implement, it is sure to be an engaging activity that students will love!!

Teaching style

I prefer to instruct in a hands-on, growth mindset environment. Students need to be given the freedom to explore without risk. They need opportunities to deal with problems and then find solutions with the idea that there is more than one correct answer!
