If you have been looking for an easy yet standards based way to incorporate science with literature, I think this is it. This project is an engaging way to teach preschoolers about structures and how to problem solve. This project has been tested in a preschool classroom and was a great success! Try it and see how much fun your students will have planning, creating, and testing.

Teaching style

I prefer to instruct in a hands-on, growth mindset environment. Students need to be given the freedom to explore without risk. They need opportunities to deal with problems and then find solutions with the idea that there is more than one correct answer!
