Looking for a fun interactive way to teach erosion! This product is designed to use with grades K-4 depending on where your students are academically. It gives you a funny little extra to the story of the 3 Little Pigs... it tells you about the day after the big bad wolf tried to blow the house down! Looking for a STEAM activity that really incorporates math! Well, you have found it!! This is wonderfully adapted STEAM project that allows students to explore how bridges are built and use math as well. I hope you will find this fun for your students. I completed this project in grades first through fourth. You can adapt as you see fit!! Let me know what you think or if you have some ideas on how I could make this better.

This project is a great way to introduce measuring with students of all ages. You can do basic measuring with K-1 with a ruler using inches and centimeters. Then increase the expectation with 2-6 using area and perimeter. If you want, you can even include volume depending on your students. Either way you implement, it is sure to be an engaging activity that students will love!!

About the store

Experience

I have taught for the 30 years and worked with students in grades 1 , 3, 4, 5, and 8. Presently, I am teaching grade 4 as a math and science teacher.

Teaching style

I prefer to instruct in a hands-on, growth mindset environment. Students need to be given the freedom to explore without risk. They need opportunities to deal with problems and then find solutions with the idea that there is more than one correct answer!
