Experience

This year, 2014, will be my fourth year teaching. My current position is a simultaneously taught 4th and 5th grade classroom, where each grade is exclusively taught by me. I have experience in many grades, including Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th and beyond. I have taught in the states of Maryland and New York.

Teaching style

I have a habit of taking standard curriculum and differentiating it for my students by infusing instructional technology. I typically use the standard curriculum as a springboard to offer new learning perspectives for my students that create a high level of interest while maintaining rigor and curriculum standards. Because I teach two grades at once, I use teaching techniques that maximize instructional time and require students to work as a team to collaborate as they reach their learning goals.
