Welcome! I’m a community college business professor and educator with experience teaching pre-kindergarten to high school and college students in rural Northern California. I create practical, real-world business education and CTE resources that save teachers time and help students build the skills they need for college, careers, and life. I work in a small rural town in Northern California where educational opportunities are scarce. I provide homeschooling and tutoring assistance to my local community and educational materials to support school teachers and community college educators everwhere. I enjoy making resources that save time, and help keep teachers organized. I currently teach business at a junior college in Northern California. prior to that worked in K-12. I've taught 1st, 5th, Kindergarten, and I have years of experience as a substitute teacher in all grades from K-14. I have been a teacher in many diverse and unique classroom settings throughout California. I've also worked as a camp counselor for horse back riding camps, and held many roles in the business realm. I worked in customer service, sales, marketing, and puchasing for small businesses and entreprenuers in both Los Angeles, and San Francisco Bay areas as well as the Mendocino County regions of California. I've also worked in administration as a Dean. Additionally, I've worked as an Education Director for a Boys and Girls Club. I hold a multiple subject and administrative credenial, with a Master's in Buiness . I am currently writting my dissertation for the School of Education to obtain my EdD in the Spring.

Teaching style
I try to push my students to be independent thinkers, creative problem solvers, and life long learners. I enjoy giving lessons that are engaging by using lots of independent work, discussions, group work and place based, and project based learning. As an adult educator, I consider the differences between adults and children as learners, but I also try to find ways to incorporate activities that are suitable for all ages, and levels. I try to make assignments relatable, and hands-on, with clear expectations, and self reflection. I'm always learning new strategies to help students, and to support myself as a teacher by making education more accessible. I enjoy learning about placed based, and rural education. I also love to spend time learning more about online platforms that help make the job more sustainable. Teaching is a very hard job, so I think being organized and having procedures, routines, and strategies that work for you is important.
My own education history
My background includes a Multiple Subject Credential, a BA, and an MBA. I am earning a doctorate in Organizational Leadership in Education. I also have years of experience teaching K-14, and in courses such as Business Math, Introduction to Management, Marketing, Customer Service, and Financial Literacy. I believe in designing materials that are clear, engaging, and immediately usable in any classroom—especially for teachers who may be the only business instructor on their campus. I believe these skills will be helpful in life and empowering students and teachers alike.
