This is an activity that gets your students up and moving during class. I designed this as a review for my students after we covered holes and horizontal/vertical asymptotes. Two different sets of cards are passed out to students (one with functions the other with equations of asymptotes) and they must work together to find their partner. 3 card sets are included and the game can be played multiple ways. This is a wonderful review of homework, for a test, or end of the year testing. Card sets:

This is a self discovery group activity. Students use spaghetti noodles, of different lengths, to create triangles. They are then asked to generate their own theorem based on the activity. The activity then covers the topics of "the largest angle is opposite the longest side". Pratice problems are also provided. My students love this activity and "teaching" themselves the lesson. A student example is provided.

This foldable is designed to go in an interactive notebook or as a stand alone study aid. Topics covered are positive, negative, undefined and zero slope. A solid line indicates a fold and a dashed line is to be cut. My students love when I print these on colored paper. An example is on the last page.

This file has everything you need for an Interacitve Notebook page for your students on Rotations...well everything put an old fashioned paper faster. Graph paper and spinner are provided in the document, they line up with points on the coordinate grid. Students spin the manipulative to different quadrants to see rotations about the origin. They also use the manipulative to discover the formulas for 90, 180, 270, and 360 degree rotations. Pictures of the manipulative are in the preview files.

My students are not very good at studying their notes. However, if I can turn it into some kind of cool graphic organizer, they can't seem to put it down. This is a patty paper activity that guides students to the formula for the midsegment of a triangle. This is a step by step worksheet. Scaffolding questions are built within the steps. The activity is designed for students to work in groups but can easily be adapted for individual work. Materials needed: patty paper (one per student), protractor or Anglegs.
