Students will need to be provided with dixie cups and objects to place inside of the cups. The cups represent “groups” and the objects need to be evenly distributed amongst the groups. Students are asked to take a "group" and divide it. The bottom half of the activity requires students to turn the worded questions into actual division number sentences. This is a great activity to use in a math center or during station teaching.

This unit consists of 3 stations and an assessment. Station 1- exponents matching station with corresponding worksheet requiring students to match the word sentence, exponential form, expanded (factor) form, and standard form (solution). Station 2- exponents practice worksheet with a given base when students have to use a paperclip and the spinner to choose the exponents and them solve. This assessment is mostly multiple choice and was created to measure student knowledge on place value and some rounding skills. They need to know paces from thousandths to millions.

This is a brief worksheet with 5 problesm. Would be great as a warm-up or exit slip.
