Here is a project thing I made for distance formula and midpoint formula. I have uploaded the Google Doc I made for this, I would suggest you edit it to match your own student names and school locations. I liked it, makes kids read a story and think about what they're doing. It might help to first try it out yourself and see what you think about it. Student Work Examples

Answers are here if you want to reference themSpreadsheet CalcsI like this project/problem I made. I usually walk through the first problem with the students as I want to get some of the wording out of the way and an example in front of them. But, the important thing to notice for this project is that every problem relies on the previous problem. Some parts are a little less obvious. But that is also why I give my students a decent bit of time on this. I would rather they struggle for longer tha

A Pythagorean Theorem activity to practice finding the missing value (both hypotenuse and legs). Answers are rounded to one decimal place. If you have an honors/GT class, take a look at my Pythagorean Theorem Project idea/concept activity. I really like it but it will be relatively challenging. Please leave feedback, positive or negative. Hope you enjoy the free activity.

This is a project idea/concept for a Geometry Pythagorean Theorem topic. I did this with my GT/honors class and think that an on-level class would struggle with this without a lot of support. I modified a project I used last year to this current form. When students did this last year, it was a very good way to challenge what they know, especially if you do not immediately help them and guide them. I have attached a short answer key/explanation at the end of the file. And I also only plan on han

Gallery Walk answer sheet exampleI like this activity I made. Students are required to use their knowledge of properties of quadrilaterals and algebra to find missing dimensions of the parallelograms. Then from there, they need to identify if the parallelogram is a rectangle, rhombus, or square. Please let me know if you like or don't like my activity.

I liked these problems I gave my Geometry students. They're a bit more complicated, but I like it. They're challenging. Since nobody reviews me or such, don't feel like spending much time writing a description. Have a nice day. That is all.

Please let me know if you liked the project with a review and comment. I like to make my activities free and open to anyone. Positive feedback, or any feedback is much appreciated. This is a project for Geometric Transformations. My students really liked this project, maybe I'll upload some student artifacts later. The first part of the project, students are required to follow the 'note' and unscramble the house. It will make a nice little house in the first quadrant with a window, a door, and a

Simplifying Radicals Codebreaker

This is a quick practice for simplifying radicals. Before this activity, I plan on going over with my students how to simplify radicals (like the first five questions), then with multiplying (next 5 questions), and lastly rationalizing the denominator (last 5 questions). Using this as a quick refresh before going into Pythagorean Theorem. The answer is UNCOPYRIGHTABLE. Enjoy my free activity, and please leave a review if you have a second.

The following is pulled from the first slide of my file: Please leave a comment or rating if you enjoyed (or didn’t enjoy) my free product. I would like to make more, but it’s not worth it if nobody sees my work. These problems/pictures are adapted from the Big Ideas Texas Geometry math textbook. The

This is a two student activity to practice using angle pair relationships. The angle pairs used here are Vertical Angles, Complementary Angles, and Supplementary Angles. Students will have to use the angle relationships to solve for either x or the specified angle. There are 8 problems for each student (16 total), and each question for each student should have the same answer. (answers for the first problem will be the same and so on so forth) Answer sheet is provided.
