I created a skills sheet for each of the stories in the new 2013 Reading Street. It has the spelling words, high frequency words, amazing words, comprehension strategies, phonics, and writing skills for each story in unit one. It would work great on the back of your newsletter to provide essential information for parents on the skills covered each week. It is also a great tool when planning your lessons. I included a list of the guided readers for the unit and two quick reference sheets for all
I had so much fun creating Hollywood labels for my classroom and decided to try stars. This package includes:
Months of the Year labels
Numbers 1-31 in yellow and black or white and black
5 different sizes in labels at can be used for a variety of things like name tags or folder numbers.
Hope you like it! Let me know what you think and if there is anything I can do to make it better or add to it. :)

These are three quick and easy foldables that can be used in any subject. The examples I included are for math. I created these half way through the school year for my students to use with their math journals. They love them and I often see my students looking through their journals to "admire" their work! What a great way to encourage students to review skills.
This is a list of all the words in the decodable reader stories Pages 97-240 which are covered in Unit One of Scott Foresman's Reading Street.
You could have students practice the words with a partner, in small group, or send home to practice with their family.
You could also use these lists as a form of assessment.
I created this worksheet for students to write who the main character is and draw a picture. It's a quick and fun writing activity that goes along with the common core standards.
I created a word list for the following stories:
-Gus
-The Van
-What's in the Sack?
Students can practice the words during dailies, when they finish their work early, or take home and practice.
This is a very sweet story about an old buffalo who seems to have lost interest in keeping up with the herd until he meets a calf who needs someone to look after him. This would be great to use along with in science for Habitats or Social Studies when learning about Native Americans. For Reading, I created worksheets that cover: -Asking and answering questions- RL2.1 -Cause/ Effect -How the character responds to major events- RL2.3 -Present/ Past tense verbs - Adjectives that Compare (-er, -est)
