Students love escape rooms. Plain and simple. In this escape room, students will need to use context clue to discover the meaning of words. Through three challenging tasks, students learn new words while working in a team. All of the tasks ask students identify a word by reading a sentence or passage. In my 6th grade ELA classes, this escape room took about 45 minutes to complete. Perfect for a Friday wrap up or to prepare for a reading unit.

The Math Corrections form is a great way to get students to reflect on their assessments! I give this to any student who did not get a 100% which helps take away the stigma of needing to make corrections. I do not give class time for corrections so it also encourages responsibility. The form encourages students to think about why they made a mistake and gives them an opportunity to fix small mistakes they should've caught.

Simple, easy, quick! My favorite words to describe math notes! These guided notes will help your students build a solid foundation of the steps of rounding with decimal place values. I like to pair this with a fun video and follow it up with interactive practice. Digital version coming soon!

My students love the mystery pictures! Many of my students are not patient enough to actually color mystery pictures, so I made it more interactive. Students will answer decimal addition expressions, if they have the right answer then a mystery picture will begin to appear. Correct answers auto-populate certain colors to be filled in on the picture side. The Google Sheet is very easy to use and will be fun for all!

This checklist guides students through typing an essay. The checklist includes small details, like where the punctuation marks should go as well as big details like spacing and font choice. This checklist still allows for some student creativity while making sure they include the basic typing requirements.

This handout is a great cheat sheet for students who are still getting familiar with Google Slides. Students use this to create group projects using Google.
