This is designed to be a parent guide to the grade 5 common core math standards. Teachers may want to use it as a pacing guide. I have taken every standard and broken it down using simple explanations and relevant examples. Examples are from highly regarded sites like Massachusetts DESE and illustrativemath.com. Both are given credit in work.

On a single 11" by 17" page are five identical number lines, ranging from -25 to 25. Formatted on Excel; it is editable and printable. I recommend that you print it out, make several copies, separate the number lines with a paper cutter then tape on each desk in your classroom or build it into an interactive notebook.

It is tedious but worth it, I did take it a step further and laminated the number lines before I taped it to each desk in my classroom.
