Middle School Standards

I use this first day of school activity to get to know the students and get them started with mathmatical thinking on our first day together. The students complete the worksheet, adding up all the numbers at the end, then as a class we order the totals and assign special names to each student based on their order. It isn't age specific, but I find that my Middle School students were very engaged by the process.

A short quiz over percent of a number. Can be used as an assessment or as a worksheet. Includes both the proportion method and the formula method. Answer key is included and everything is fully editable.
