This joke/puzzle/riddle worksheet is for students to solve problems involving exponents. All base numbers are under 10 and the highest exponential value is 7. Students should be able to use mental math to solve most of these problems, others will require more work. Students solve the problem and then find the answer at the bottom of the page, where they place the corresponding letter. This worksheet, created and provided by Ebel in the Middle, should not take students very long to complete.

About the store

Experience

I have taught mathematics at the middle school level (6th-8th grades) since 2001. I have taught general education students, advanced/high ability students and have co-taught in a mathematics classroom for special education students.

Teaching style

I use many different methods for students to learn and tackle the subject of mathematics. I use hands-on activities and games, cooperative learning strategies, general note-taking with examples via a teacher-led approach and have used my own created videos for use in a flipped classroom concept.
