Dividing Fractions with Pattern Blocks - Task Cards
Use these task cards to help students develop a conceptual understanding for dividing fractions. Have students work in table groups, partners, or individually to complete these division problems. Give each student or group a set of pattern block pieces to cut out and use to assist their thinking and reasoning. You can even print and laminate the colored pattern blocks for future use.

This is my 5th year teaching middle school math and second year teaching 7th grade earth science.
Teaching style
My ultimate goal is for my students to view themselves as mathematical thinkers and communicators who have the capacity to solve problems, develop mathematical arguments, and persevere when learning is tough! I have centered my classroom around mathematical practices and problem solving in hopes of fostering within my students confidence as math learners.
