Experience

I have taught third grade math, science, and social studies for the last 7 years. I have taught in many different scenarios. I have team-taught, co-taught, taught in a four way where I co-taught and team-taught, and have even job shared for a couple years! Teaching style

I love teaching third grade math and science. I prefer more hands on teaching method where the students are using manipulatives and tools to really gain an understanding of the math. I encourage discussion about strategies and I love watching the students discover a new way of solving a problem and seeing the light bulb go off when they gain a new level of understanding. In science I love doing experiments and explorations. The students are always so excited to learn about our world and get so creative when it's their turn to create an exploration or experiment.
