All questions on this test are DYNAMIC, which means numbers are randomly generated when you press Ctrl-K in ExamView. The variables are programmed so the calculations can be done without a calculator, simulating the AP testing guidelines. The topics assessed in this exam are: freezing point depression, molarity, molality, mole fraction and boiling point elevation. This test is ideal for the teacher who wants to test for mastery. When a student wants to retest you can generate thousands of di

** Do not download this product unless you have ExamView 6.2 or newer. This Chemistry Unit on Chemical Change was created utilizing the Understanding by Design philosophy, where students understanding is assessed through the Unit Test (ExamViw) and the lab write up of "What is a Chemical Reaction?" found in Flinn: Introduction to Chemistry v1. The materials were designed to develop students ability to model the molecular world through guided demonstrations. The Unit includes the following res

All of these questions are DYNAMIC. This test covers: naming & writing ions; naming & writing binary compounds (single and multiple oxidation state); naming & writing ternary compounds; naming & writing binary and ternary acids. This test is an incredible resource and represents a whole unit on inorganic nomenclature. A single question can be made into a worksheet that focuses on a single skill (ie naming compounds with multiple oxidation states). All you have to do is copy a single questi

Teaching style

Balanced pedagogy: I believe in understanding each class/students through formal & informal formative assessment and pushing them towards mastery, by engaging students in the here-and-now. Some of the pedagogical terms that describe my teaching are: Socratic questioning, lab assessments, inquiry, hands-on constructivism, direct instruction, student mastery and cooperative learning.

Awards & shining teacher moments

The best award ever. . . those notes at the end of the year or those visits from past students.
