Emotional Disabilities Room Crisis Response Plan

This resource has been a great addition to our self-contained emotional disabilities classroom. We have been able to develop a crisis response plan within our building specifically tailored to our ED classroom. This can obviously be tailored to meet your buildings needs. It is extremely helpful to use common language amongst all staff members that could be involved in a crisis response situation within the ED classroom. This makes things much easier if staff call for level 4 or level 5 help. We

ABC Data Google Form

An ABC data sheet is a tool used in behavioral analysis to track and analyze the antecedents, behaviors, and consequences of a specific behavior. It helps to identify patterns and triggers that may be influencing the behavior. The sheet is divided into three sections: Antecedent, Behavior, and Consequence. In the Antecedent section, you record what happened before the behavior occurred. In the Behavior section, you document the behavior itself, including its duration, intensity, and frequency. I

The purpose of this assignment is to give your students an opportunity to share important information about themselves with their future teachers so that they can start developing those positive relationships prior to the beginning of the new school year. This is a great opportunity for your students to practice self advocacy skills as well. Students can be as detailed/ personal as they are comfortable with.  My students enjoy presenting these to their new teachers. The teachers have also found

Additional biographical information

Hi there! My name is Mikelle Mitchell, and I'm thrilled to be a part of the Teacher Pay Teachers community. As a dedicated mom of two young children, I understand the importance of quality education and the impact it has on shaping young minds. For the past 7 years, I have been teaching special education students at the middle school level. It has been an incredibly fulfilling journey, and I am passionate about creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students. Currently, I am in the final stages of completing my Masters in Educational Psychology with a focus on Learning and Assessment at the University of Alabama. This program has provided me with valuable insights into the best practices for helping students thrive academically and emotionally. In my role at my school, I primarily focus on assisting students with their social-emotional needs. I strongly believe in the power of emotion regulation and executive functioning skills in helping students succeed. That's why I am actively involved in our school's SEL MTSS team, working towards enhancing the social-emotional well-being of all students. Having developed a wide range of resources over the years, particularly in the areas of SEL, behavior, and data tracking, I decided to create a TPT account. My goal is to share these valuable resources with fellow educators and support them in their teaching journey. I firmly believe in the "work smarter, not harder" mindset, and as part of the TPT community, I hope to collaborate with other teachers, learn from their experiences, and collectively make a positive impact on education. Together, we are a team dedicated to empowering students and creating a brighter future.
