About the store
I have over 20 years of teaching experience across K–6 primary classrooms, working with a wide range of learners and contexts. My background includes 5 years in Learning and Support and 2 years working specifically with High-Potential and Gifted Education students. These roles have shaped my belief that high-quality thinking tasks should be accessible, flexible, and meaningful for all learners — not just a select few. This experience informs every resource I create, ensuring tasks are both rigorous and inclusive.

Experience

I have over 20 years of teaching experience across K–6 primary classrooms, working with a wide range of learners and contexts. These roles have shaped my belief that high-quality thinking tasks should be accessible, flexible, and meaningful for all learners — not just a select few. Teaching style

My teaching style is progressive, student-centred, and thinking-focused. I believe students learn best when they are given: meaningful challenges opportunities to think deeply choice in how they engage and respond I design learning experiences that encourage students to explore ideas, justify their thinking, and work at a level that stretches their understanding. High-Potential and Gifted Education strategies are embedded in my practice because they allow students to find their own level of challenge, which is both motivating and engaging.

Awards & shining teacher moments

My most meaningful teaching moments aren’t awards — they’re the quiet ones. The moments that shine for me are when a student says: “Oh!” “Ah!” or suddenly makes a connection they couldn’t see before. Those lightbulb moments — when understanding clicks — are why I teach and why I design resources that prioritise thinking over worksheets or right answers.

My own education history

I hold a Bachelor of Education (Primary) and have continued to develop my practice through experience in: Learning and Support High-Potential and Gifted Education focused roles Classroom Teaching Curriculum design and differentiation My professional learning has consistently centred on how students think, not just what they produce.
