Teaching style

My teaching style blends classic and modern best practices — grounded in Montessori, Reggio Emilia, Piaget, and Vygotsky for early learners, and research-based, inquiry-driven methods for older students. You'll find a mix of thematic units, student-led learning, accountable talk, and hands-on activities designed to foster deep engagement across developmental stages. For toddlers and preschoolers, I value attachment-aware, play-based learning with an emphasis on emotional regulation, independence, and the teacher as a guide. For K–6, my approach leans into balanced literacy, flipped classrooms, and interactive, inquiry-based instruction that empowers kids to take the lead. Across all age groups, my resources aim to be developmentally appropriate, low-prep, fun, and flexible — so learning feels natural, connected, and full of joy.

Awards & shining teacher moments

🎓 Academic Honors: Graduated Cum Laude with a B.A. in Early Childhood Education and earned a 4.0 GPA during my M.Ed. in Elementary Education (K–6). My graduate thesis received a university award for its contribution to literacy and intervention practices. I also earned my administrative degree and principal certification — one of my proudest milestones as an educator and leader. 🍎 Teacher Moments: I had the honor of collaborating with an incredible team to lead the district-wide launch of MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports) for both academics and behavior in Richmond Public Schools. That experience reminded me that systemic change is possible when we keep students at the heart of every decision. Whether I was coaching teachers across a district or helping a kindergartener fall in love with reading, those moments continue to shape my work. Now, as a toddler mom, I bring that same passion into every printable — blending research, empathy, and hands-on learning to create resources that truly connect.

Additional biographical information

I’m a toddler mom, former foster mom, and lifelong educator who believes that learning should be joyful, intentional, and rooted in connection. For six years, I had the privilege of fostering seven incredible children, an experience that forever shaped my heart and my teaching. Today, I’m a stay-at-home mom to my son, Jaxon (20 months), and he inspires much of the toddler-friendly learning you’ll find in my resources. I’ve taught in Texas, Tennessee, and Virginia, and my journey through the classroom, foster care, and motherhood has fueled my mission: to meet every child where they are and help them grow in their own unique way. I love reading, writing, and feel called to authorship — to spread light, learning, and love through every word and resource. I love others because He first loved me, and I believe spreading knowledge and kindness is at the core of who I am. Thank you for being here — I hope these resources bless your little learners as much as they’ve blessed mine. 💛
