I was lucky enough to be a part of a text book team, and the 8 mathematical practices were really pushed. I made a poster of these practices, and then made a "kid-friendly" version. I ran this document through my poster maker at school and colored the arrows (we have a black/white poster maker). I teach middle elementary, so clip art was not of the essence.
