Back to School - Managing Centres with student and centre badges and signs

Encouraging child choice whilst managing your stations - this is one of my favourite classroom management resources! Place the appropriate signs at each of your centers/rotations/stations/activities. Once the displayed maximum number of children place their badges on the sign, there is no room at that center and other students know they must choose again. Think1 and Think2 - a visible thinking assessment tool for any subject

Think 1, Think 2 is a simple idea but one of my favorite resources for Inquiry based learning. Whether you teach in an inquiry based learning environment or not, you can make use of this resource. Experience

Teaching style

I love inquiry based learning and giving children the skills to take charge of their learning. I see my role as preparing them for jobs that may not even exist yet. The work I prepare for my classes promotes independence and lifelong learning. My resources don't contain time fillers or low level work. They challenge children to apply the skills they have been learning in different ways. I think it is important that students are responsible for their own learning and know which direction their learning is taking - as well as the steps they need to progress. Hopefully this will continue to be reflected in my products.

My own education history

I was educated to post-graduate level in the United Kingdom. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities and a Post Graduate Certificate in Primary Education.
