About the store
I'm in my 10th year in education! I've had the joy of teaching students at every grade level from 6th-12th grade (with different grade levels all in one classroom!). I spent the past 3 years in exclusively Algebra 1 remediation classes (with both special education co-teach and ESL/LEP/EB classes) but now have earned the chance to do behavior intervention with high school students!

Simplifying Algebraic Expressions - Calendar Project

Created by
MissAlgebra
A fun and easy Algebra project to your unit on simplifying algebraic expressions! Students will create their own algebraic expressions to simplify with combining like terms, the distributive property, exponent rules (product rule, quotient rule, and power rule), and by multiplying binomials/FOIL or box method, and will evaluate expressions for different values! They'll be able to create and design/decorate a calendar to share all their information! The project includes a rubric and a planning sh

Students will plan a summer vacation trip for this algebra project! They'll have to do their own research to find flight costs, hotel costs, activities (and their costs) and write slope-intercept equations, create tables, calculate with rates, and determine the true costs of their vacation plan! But, there's a catch - they'll also have to figure out how to pay for it by researching summer jobs in their hometowns and will use their algebra skills to determine how fast they can pay for their trips
