This is designed for discrete math involving graph theory concepts such as priority list scheduling, finding the degree of vertices, constructing weighted directed graphs, vocabulary, precedence relations, Euler and Hamiltonian circuits, conflict maps and coloring, kruskal's algorithm for minimum spanning tree, travelling salesman problems and Prim's optimization algorithm and nearest neighbor method.

This is a compilation of PDF files containing my notes for an NC Math 3 Curriculum (similar to Algebra 2). It also includes homework sets, study guides, and tests/quizzes for each unit. Topics include: inverse functions, function operation and composition, absolute value and step functions, piecewise functions, rational functions, polynomial functions, exponential and log functions, trigonometric functions, geometry, and statistics.

This is a compilation of projects that could be used for higher level math courses in high school. Courses applicable are NC Math 4, Discrete Math, and PreCalculus. Topics include function family trees, geometry scavenger hunt, pythagorean theorem proof, quadratic formula proof, euler characteristic and platonic solids, ranking, bracketology, cryptology, statistics, optimizations, integration, piecewise functions.

This activity walks students through the process of creating a 3D model of the unit circle with a paper plate, and emphasizes the 30-60-90 and 45-45-90 triangle relationships to create accurate measurements and motivate the coordinates of the unit circle. It also reveals patterns in the radians and degrees to motivate a deep understanding of how the unit circle works.

This is a four worksheet compilation to record Pi Day activities. I have set it up as a classroom competition. The class which has the most students complete activities where the points add up to 3.14 wins. There is a pi haiku, pi problems, food, puzzle, and memorization activity.

This was made for Discrete Math involving matrix multiplication and addition, moving onto Leslie Models, Markov Chains, cryptology, game theory, systems of equations, and includes a section on vocabulary.

This project is designed to be a creative way for student's to explore proofs, geometry, graph theory, platonic solids and the euler characteristic. They will create a proof via chart explaining why the platonic solids are the only 5 solids that meet specific euler characteristic criteria. They will then choose one of the five solids and create a 3D model of it. #discretemath

This quiz helps students identify domain, range, intercepts, axis of symmetry, asymptotes, increasing/decreasing, positive/negative, end behaviors, graphing and creating equations based on descriptions for quadratic, linear, square root, and rational functions.

This midterm was created to evaluate rational and radical expression, complex numbers, word problems with quadratics, taking inverses, compositions of functions, function transformations, and critical points on identifying functions including rational, square root, linear and quadratic.

This assessment was designed to test converting rationals to radicals and vice versa, as well as identifying real, complex, and imaginary numbers. There are also a few questions on building linear equations.

This is for NC Math 4 statistics and probability. It covers sampling methods, graph interpretation, confidence intervals, probability distributions and histograms, mean/variance/standard deviation, expected value, z-score/chart, binomial probability, normal distribution, empirical rule.

This project is designed to help motivate student's learning of the quadratic formula and completing the square. They will derive the quadratic formula using the completing the square method, practice problems, and become exposed to proof writing techniques as they research the proof of the quadratic formula.

This project is designed to give students a creative outlet to practice their skills identifying important function behaviors such as domain, range, intercepts, symmetries, increasing/decreasing, positive/negative, and describing transformations of the parent functions of linear, quadratic, square root, and rational.
