Six sets of multi-step word problems, 8 word problems in each set (with answer keys). Three sets are addition and subtraction only. Three sets are mixed operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division). Word problems align to CCSS 4OA3 and 4th grade expectations for computation, but could be used in a 3rd grade or 5th grade classroom depending on the ability of the students. Two-page activity in which students must find quotients and remainders for problems involving different combinations of family members sharing certain foods/materials. Problems range from 2-by-1 division to 4-by-1 division. Can also be used as a pre- or post-assessment on the skill of division. This activity is aimed at 4th grade (specifically 4NBT6), but could be used for 3rd or 5th graders.
