This is a graphic organizer for students to draw a picture of what they are visualizing, select a word from the text they heard to help create their mental image, and then which of the 5 senses would be a part of that visualization. The teacher can select their own read aloud or snippets from a text to read to go along with this graphic organizer quiz.
This is an addition quiz using numbers up to the thousands place. Students are asked to use the work space to show how they solved using place value block representations. There are also 2 word problems.
A review on place value after instruction including writing the standard, expanded, and word form of a number, comparing numbers, and determining the value of a digit in a number up to the hundred thousands place.
Students draw a picture of a collection of items. Sometimes I display a few for reference. Then students follow directions to create a 3 digit number using a deck of cards. Students use their 2 generated numbers a picture to create a subtraction word problem. Students must also show 2 strategies to solve the problem.
Students will show many ways to create a number with hundreds, tens, and ones. In addition, they will compare numbers and show a number in base ten, written, and expanded form.
This product is great for homework, review, or classwork. Students are solving division on a number line, word problems, and using fact families to solve for the correct answers.
Single page of place value homework. The 2nd page is a repeat and I use it to print 2 sheets on a page to save copies. Students are asked to show many ways to make a number in a chart, as well as determine value of a digit in a given number.
This is an exit card that can be printed 2 to a page in order to maximize paper usage. After teaching a relevant lessons about clouds and storms, this exit card can be used to gauge students' knowledge. This exit card is also editable.
