My first grade students needed a rubric during our informational report writing unit. Students can use this as a self-checklist or it can be used during writing conferences for the student and teacher to mark off together.

I use these Dolch sight word lists to build a sight word inventory for my students. Once they master 8/10 words on a list, I bump them to the next one. I assess their lists weekly.

This is a graphic organizer for students to draw a picture of what they are visualizing, select a word from the text they heard to help create their mental image, and then which of the 5 senses would be a part of that visualization. The teacher can select their own read aloud or snippets from a text to read to go along with this graphic organizer quiz.

I use this form show a quick summary in English and in Spanish for my Conferences. On one page, I have a copy of 2 of the same conferences. One for the parent to keep and one for myself.

This is a great center for students to practice number sense! This is easy to laminate and prepare for students. Simply cut out each long rectangle with the number attached and place in a plastic baggy. Students can take out the mixed up rectangles and arrange the strips in number order.

This is an addition quiz using numbers up to the thousands place. Students are asked to use the work space to show how they solved using place value block representations. There are also 2 word problems.

A review on place value after instruction including writing the standard, expanded, and word form of a number, comparing numbers, and determining the value of a digit in a number up to the hundred thousands place.

Students draw a picture of a collection of items. Sometimes I display a few for reference. Then students follow directions to create a 3 digit number using a deck of cards. Students use their 2 generated numbers a picture to create a subtraction word problem. Students must also show 2 strategies to solve the problem.

Students will show many ways to create a number with hundreds, tens, and ones. In addition, they will compare numbers and show a number in base ten, written, and expanded form.

This product is great for homework, review, or classwork. Students are solving division on a number line, word problems, and using fact families to solve for the correct answers.
