About the store
A husband and wife duo who bring over 20 years each to the eduction system. This store offers engaging, accessible, no-prep, and ready-to-use resources designed to bring complex science and systems thinking to life in the classroom. Students will work on a research - grade computational modeling platform designed to assist children with their science knowledge, but think about science phonomena in terms of systems. Every lesson is rooted in real classroom practice, aligned to NGSS and best practices in instructional design, and built to empower both teachers and students with inquiry-based learning. Video walkthroughs of each lesson, embedded videos to guide students while they are on working through their digital models, Teacher's Guide, Student - facing PowerPoint lesson decks, and more interactives to come. We have taught in K–12 classrooms, led project-based learning programs, and supported educators through professional development domestically and internationally. Beyond the classroom, we’ve partnered with organizations like Microsoft, UCLA Health, Army, Department of Mental Health in California, and Albert Whitman Children's Publishing to design high-quality, research-based resources and curriculum that center accessibility, DEI, and student engagement. We have been working with Dr. Tomas Helikar out of the University of Nebraska whose mission has been to bring this wonderful technology to the K-12 students for exposure to future job opportunities in Biotechnology. We are excited to offer this platform to you in this project which has been backed by the National Institute of Health and the National Science Foundation. Please contact us to lend your voice on direction, class piloting, professional development, and more.

From Sun to Sandwich: Modeling Energy Flow in Living Systems NGSS-Aligned | LS2 | Cause and Effect | Digital ModelingWhat happens inside a living system between sunlight and the lunch we eat? In this interactive simulation, students build and test a system model that tracks how energy flows through plants, animals, and cells—revealing invisible biological processes beneath everyday life. Instead of memorizing parts of a food web, students investigate cause and effect within a living system. The

Imagine your students watching a pot boil, something they’ve seen countless times, and suddenly realizing it’s actually an energy story unfolding right in front of them. From Plug to Steam transforms that everyday moment into a powerful, interactive learning experience where students see and test how energy moves through a system. Using the ModelIt! digital modeling platform, students explore electrical energy → thermal energy → phase change in a way that makes sense visually, conceptually, an
