This is a Menus Project I created this past year to incorporate differentiated instruction into my lessons. Students make choices as to which parts they want to complete. All students are required to accumulate 40 points to earn full credit. Some topics in this project are slope, y-intercept, functions, and standard form of a linear function.

This 10 page guide covers all main topics that will be on the Regents. Some of the topics include linear equations, quadratics, surface area and volume, statistics, probability and operations with polynomials to name a few. This is a great tool to have students work on as homework, classwork, or a combination of both. I give this to my classes each year as the main tool they will need to be successful on the regents.

This is a product I created to encompass all topics dealing with Graphing and Solving Quadratic Functions. Some of the topics students need to know for this activity are minimum, maximum, roots of a quadratic, standard form of a quadratic, vertex, and axis of symmetry. Students make choices based on the menu and are required to do certain parts of each section to earn full credit. I usually give students 3 class days (60 mins per class) and a week total to complete the project.

This is a set of 5 cumulative exams for the New York State Integrated Algebra Curriculum. The units covered in these assessments include, Solving Linear Equations, Statistics, Linear Functions, Systems of Linear Functions, Inequalities and Rational Expressions. This is an activity I use to review for a test or assessment. There are 5 different stations worth of questions (with answers provided). This activity discusses the relationship between exponential growth and decay, along with helping students develop the pattern formed during an exponential model. Students complete two activities, one involving folding a simple piece of paper, the second is based on cutting pieces of yarn. This is my collection of 10 On Time Quizzes I created to have students complete as they enter into class. I use these each day and they are based on Integrated Algebra Regents test questions. I generally give each class from 5 to 8 minutes to complete each daily OTQ. I collect the OTQ after each day and grade them on a scale of 0 to 2 based on showing work and correctness.

This project is a great way to incorporate sports into the classroom. Students create a set of graphs (bar graph, circle graph, double-bar graph) and questions that their classmates can answer when completed. This is an information sheet about the project. Students will need to use the internet to complete this project.

This lab is an investigation of the diameter and circumference of circles. The goal with this lab to have the class discover the irrational number pi. Works great in small groups, individually, or with an entire class.

This is a collection of 10 On Time Quizzes that I have used throughout the year in my Integrated Algebra class. Each contains five practice Regents questions with some hints added to guide students who may not completely understand the question. Why a Stop and Jot? A wide variety of students struggle with determining how to solve short answer questions. The idea of a sentence stem helps students focus on COMMAND WORDS which tell students to do something in a regents question. These command words give students the clue to focus on as they complete their work on each regents question. Students also struggle with meaning and interpretation of regents questions. A lab that requires students to measure rectangular objects and calculate the lengths of their diagonals.

This is a 3 page assignment that gives students several equations and graphs for linear, quadratic, absolute value, and exponential functions. Students are required to sort out each type of graph based on either the equation or a picture. After, students are required to one example of each function, create a graph and answer a couple questions about that function.
