This is a Menus Project I created this past year to incorporate differentiated instruction into my lessons. Students make choices as to which parts they want to complete. All students are required to accumulate 40 points to earn full credit. Some topics in this project are slope, y-intercept, functions, and standard form of a linear function.
This 10 page guide covers all main topics that will be on the Regents. Some of the topics include linear equations, quadratics, surface area and volume, statistics, probability and operations with polynomials to name a few. This is a great tool to have students work on as homework, classwork, or a combination of both.
I give this to my classes each year as the main tool they will need to be successful on the regents.
Each of these 6 assignments includes 18 to 20 regents level questions mirroring questions on the NYS Integrated Geometry Regents Exam. The first page is a cover page with place for due date, answer recording sheet and reference table provided to students on the exam. Each varies in length from 7-9 pages.
Every major topic in the curriculum is touched upon with multiple questions in the form of multiple choice and/or short answer. This could also be useful for teachers to give as tests, quizzes,
This is version 3 of a previous survival guide. Calculator tricks, regents questions, and brief descriptions are included in each section. For this version, Other updates include calculator visuals with descriptions and a glossary of calculator keystrokes for Algebra based functions are located at the back of the Survival Guide. *A focus on interpreting Short Answer questions has also been added for ENL and students that struggle with literacy.* Youtube videos are provided for help with each se
This 60+ page pdf document gives guided notes, examples, classwork, homework, and review materials for the Transformations Unit which is part of the NYS Integrated Geometry curriculum.
Topics discussed in this pdf are translations, rotations, reflections, dilations, symmetry and composition of transformations.
This game is a mach powerpoint of the actual game that is seen on TV. This is great with classes small and large. Questions and answers can be easily edited, so this can be used with any topic and any subject.
Hope you enjoy this powerpoint!
This is a Menus project I created that tie in different uses of statistical measures. Each student is required to choose an entree, side dish, dessert, and try all options of the appetizers to earn full credit of 100 points.
Some sections of this project do require the use of materials students or teachers may need to bring in to the classroom. Computers can be used to help students type their questions or paragraphs that are required to complete each part. I also have access to a video and dig
This 60 page set of Guided Notes go through topics covered in the NYS Integrated Geometry Regents on Constructions, Equations of Circles, Locus, and Compound Locus. The Days are set up for 80 minute blocks and are broken down as follows:
Day 1: Constructions
Day 2: Constructions
Day 3: Circles in the Coordinate Plane
Day 4: Review of Days 1-3
Day 5: Locus
Day 6: Compound Locus in the Coordinate Plane
Day 7: Review of Locus
Day 8: Review of Entire Unit

This is a product I created to encompass all topics dealing with Graphing and Solving Quadratic Functions. Some of the topics students need to know for this activity are minimum, maximum, roots of a quadratic, standard form of a quadratic, vertex, and axis of symmetry.
Students make choices based on the menu and are required to do certain parts of each section to earn full credit. I usually give students 3 class days (60 mins per class) and a week total to complete the project.
This .zip file contains all eleven unit plans for the NYS Algebra 2/Trig Curriculum. Each file is a .doc or .docx and is completely editable. The Units in this product are listed as follows:

2) Integers and Rational Numbers
3) Real Numbers and Radicals
4) Relations and Functions
5) Quadratic Functions and Complex Numbers
6) Exponential and Logarithmic Functions
7) Trigonometric Functions
8) Solving Trigonometric Identities and Equations

This game I borrowed and changed from one of my co-workers. It is very user-friendly and can be used by any subject area.
One suggestion with having students answer questions is to give whiteboards to each student or a couple per group.
Enjoy!
This is a set of 5 cumulative exams for the New York State Integrated Algebra Curriculum. The units covered in these assessments include, Solving Linear Equations, Statistics, Linear Functions, Systems of Linear Functions, Inequalities and Rational Expressions. Each exam varies in length from 10 to 17 questions, and all new exams combine the new material with the material from the prior units.
Each exam varies in length from 30 to 60 minutes. Every question in these tests has the NYS performance
This is an activity I use to review for a test or assessment. There are 5 different stations worth of questions (with answers provided). Students need to show their work on the Answer Sheet provided to earn full credit. Each station takes approximately 10-15 minutes depending on the level of students in your class. I can usually finish this activity in an 80 minutes block.
The stations are on the following topics
1.) Solving Systems by Graphing
2.) Solving Systems by Elimination
3.) Factoring a
