Though many schools require electronic gradebooks, teachers should also keep a back-up hard copy. I created a document that allows you to record the date, assignment name, and possible points for each assignment. Students are also listed by number for easy reference. I used this kid-friendly progress report to encourage my students to take responsibility for their morning and afternoon behaviors. I designed it to work with a color chart that used clothespins labeled with student names.
