I am embarking on my ninth year of teaching. I have taught both 7th and 8th grade, and this past year I taught 7th grade Accelerated. I love to create activities and am excited to share.

Distance Between Two Points - Pythagorean Theorem

Students will be graphing both points. Students will determine the length of each leg and use the Pythagorean Theorem to determine the length of the hypotenuse. This is a simplistic activity, better suited for a quick activity for extra practice or an Intervention Class. All you will need to do is print blank coordinate planes or use dry-erase coordinate planes.

Experience

I am embarking on my ninth year of teaching. I have taught both 7th and 8th grade, and this past year I taught 7th grade Accelerated. I love to create activities and am excited to share.

Teaching style

I am not the teacher that you can hear a pen drop in my classroom, that makes me nervous. I love engaging activities that get students' brains thinking and communication flowing. Also, I love getting students up and moving around the classroom or even the hallway (as long as they are working.)
