I taught preschool for 5 years before graduating to Kindergarten! I found my home teaching this age group!! :) I have taught Kindergarten for 3 years and I spent one year teaching in Second grade. I feel that my years in preschool and my experience in Second have really helped me focus in on crucial skills for Kindergarteners based on where they are coming from and where they need to be in a few years! As of SY 2017/2018, I began teaching Special Education with an emphasis in Reading in lower grades.

This is a PowerPoint I use along with my subtraction activities. The first few slides are to review vocabulary and different methods for solving subtraction problems. You will review Linus the Minus, Number Bonds, and reading Number Sentences. There are instructions to use along with a Hula Hoop demonstration of subtraction. Hands on learning!! Engaging lessons and innovative ideas! I was blessed to be able to teach at an Fine Arts Academy where I received training by ArtsNow in how to use visual art, dance, music, and theatre to bring lessons to life!
