This fun, interactive activity includes an verb and adverb list of words with corresponding pictures. It also includes a suggested lesson development page. Students will gain a true understanding of how adverbs can tell you how an action is done, as they act out both verbs and adverbs.
game play:
Make two piles or have two bags, one of which with the verbs and one with the adverbs. Have a student come and demonstrate acting out a verb in the way of the adverb while students guess what both are.
This product includes 20 task cards with 30 figurative language questions, 16 of which are multiple choice, 7 are matching definitions, and 7 are matching examples. The focus of these cards are: similes, metaphors, personifications, idioms, onomatopoeias, hyperboles, and alliterations. An answer key and suggestions for use are included.
This product includes a 23 card set for matching equivalent fraction names and a 37 card set for remediation that has students match fraction names with pictures of that fraction on number lines, fraction circles, and fraction bars. Fractions up to 15ths.
Suggested directions:
Have students sort cards on pages 2-4 (for strictly written fraction names) and 5-8 (for matching names to their pictures) into equivalent fraction groups. Students may play the matching game as well.
This lesson uses a video to have students write what they notice and what they wonder about the founders of the declaration and the declaration itself. These observations and questions can be taken and used to create a discussion about the key ideas of The Declaration of Independence.
