I have eight years of experience as a classroom teacher. I began my career as a Kindergarten teacher, then taught 3rd grade for four years, and then 5th grade for two years.
I also taught English in Japan and preschool for four years prior to elementary school.
I use the Flipped Classroom technique for teaching struggling math students and I incorporate online response and forums through the use of Moodle learning management system for Language Arts.

I am a mom of an adorable 2-year-old boy, a wife to a great husband, and a 5th grade teacher... and I love all 3 jobs!
My hobbies include reading, traveling, playing softball, going to the beach, running, playing guitar, going to hockey games and baseball games, and watching HBO/Showtime Sunday night television!
