Math Self-Assessment

Created by

This self-assessment helps the students assess themselves how comfortable they feel with the different parts that go into solving a math problem and showing their answer. It is very helpful to print one for each student and keep them in their math folders in a clear sheet protector. This way, they can reuse them over and over and the students can rate themselves using a dry erase marker.

This worksheet allows for students to show their work in their own unique way while showing the number sentence with the correct operation in the middle. For the higher students, as a challenge, they can write a sentence to discuss how they found their answer or to write out their answer. It can be differentiated based on your students by... Above/High Level: choose their own numbers On/Middle Level: filling in 1 of the numbers and letting the students make up the second number and find the an

Count Ten More and Ten Less Game

Created by

This game will help students become fluent in counting ten more and ten less from a wide range of numbers. They will have the chance to roll the dice twice to create a two digit number and then need to think about the number that is 10 more than that number and 10 less. It is a game that will surely keep your students engaged and have fun while reinforcing this skill! I recommend always putting games in clear sheet protectors so students can reuse this game over and over with a dry erase marker.

All of my students go crazy over these different math games! They all have so much fun playing these games. They really help reinforce the skills of addition while having fun! Spill and Count- This math game should be played with the yellow/red counter. Fill up a cup with whatever number you are trying to focus on. As the kids spill out the cup, they record how many red counters there are and how many yellow there are. Then, they will count how many counters there are total. Roll and Add- This

This game is great to keep students engaged while having fun. It is a partner game and can be differentiated based on the students levels. Print 2 pages per 2 students, laminate and mix them up. That deck of cards will be split between 2 students. Each student will draw 2 cards and add them up. The student who has the higher sum will keep the cards. The game is over when one student has all of the cards. *This can be differentiated by students playing by drawing 3 cards and adding them up OR

This game can be used for adding numbers 0-10. You pair the students up with a partner and each of them say, "1, 2, 3 add" and hold out a certain number of fingers. They will record how many one partner held out in the first box and the other partners number in the second. Then, they will count the total fingers that were displayed and that is their answer. As the children are learning to add higher numbers, each partner can use two hands. I created 3 different math addition games that are sold
