I started my career as a year-long, long term substitute in 3rd grade. I later found my home teaching second grade, where I would remain for several years. I am honored to now be the resident math interventionist for grades 2-5 in my building. It is here that I find my greatest happiness and biggest challenges.
This math center is designed to practice rounding. It comes with print and cut number cards, directions, and game boards. This does contain two versions, (round to the nearest ten and round to the nearest hundred). The game is created so that any number of players can join in the fun.
Players take turns flipping the number cards, building a 2 or 3-digit number, rounding to the nearest ten/hundred, and coloring a corresponding space on the board.

Teaching style
I'm a true believer in hands-on learning. I feel that math is not strictly a rote process to be taught and memorized. Rather, it is something to explore, manipulate, and discover. In other words, bring on the math tools, games, and activities!
