Use these notes to help students understand the basics of the four different types of biomolecules (carbohydrates, lipids, proteins and nucleic acids). These notes give students the definition of biomolecule, the ingredients (C.H.O.N.P.) and a table in which teachers may choose what they would like to include for a description (but an optional suggestion is provided on the answer key). During this activity, students will get to know one another a little better while filling out a worksheet that will used to quickly put your students into groups and get them used to the seeing temperature in celsius. This is a great activity for the first week of school!
