This is google sheet than can be posted to google classroom so students can independently practice solving two step equations. This will automatically check the students answer and generate a comment to help if they complete a step incorrectly. This is great to be used as review, in centers, homework or a quick ticket out the door. This covers solving standard 2 step equations, with 2 "challenge" problems. All answers are integers.

This is and interactive way for students to explore the rules for adding integers. The first slide they categorize the sums but positive vs negative. The second slide has the students build the addition rules. Lastly the third slide students practice identifying if the answer will be positive or negative. You can always have students actually do the math if you want.
