As a teacher I have goals outside of school that I want to achieve. I also wanted to have ONE book I could carry around with me and review as needed. Brainstorm for your goals and then plan them out! I'm super excited to introduce you to "Striving for Balance" Goals and Life Planner. You are buying the PDF but I had mine printed and I love it! I am all about goals, balancing my work and my passions (including organization) -hourly slots starting at 5am-9pm -review your goals quarterly -section
I put this on my door this year when keeping track of how far a child got on math fact testing. I gave a one minute quiz and if they passed it I checked off that box for the student.
This file is editable-you can type in your students' names (up to 29-let me know if you need more) or you can print it and write in their names.
The file includes tracking for adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing.
I used this for my third grade class for their biographies. They had lots of books and had to find the items that are in the planning sheet. From this they made biographical article on construction paper. This sheet made it super easy!
I used an ISTEP prompt from their website and retyped it for this file.
I made a graphic organizer that I will use during my test prep unit in order to help students know what to write. Often times I find my students writing lists instead of showing support for each of their reasons. I am hoping this will make them put their papers into paragraphs and have more evidence for their reasons.
This can be used for stories and persuasive prompts.
I use this with my 3rd graders but you could use it at any grade. Students track what they read and what center they complete during literacy centers.

Experience
I substituted for 2 years, then I taught reading intervention for one year, 1st grade for one year, 5th grade and now 3rd grade.
Teaching style
I like for students to find their own answers. I have modeled my mentor by saying "Be a problem solver". Students find this very confusing. All too often they are told what to do all day, so when it comes to making their own decisions they confuse easily!
