I use this PPT to introduce bias, propaganda, and how to evaluate online sources. I include propaganda because my students finish rhetoric and fallacies before their research unit, and propaganda (a type of fallacy) shows up on most online sources. These topics are necessary to review before going into any research project. The student notes will be attached to my store font for a free download.

This presentation teaches about the various types of play and explains why play is an important part of a child's development. After teaching about the types of play, there's a classroom activity to strengthen their understanding. Students are grouped and placed in stations. Each station exhibits different types of play. They essentially then have a "play day" after the lesson, but their exit ticket is to identify what type of play is represented at each station.

In this activity, students will design their own Thanksgiving dinner plate where each food represents a leadership quality, principle, or experience they value. Then, they'll present their “plate”, explaining how each item connects to their own personal leadership journey or growth. The activity has student/teacher instructions and a rubric.
