About the store
I have taught in New York City Public Schools for fifteen years in the heart of the city, Manhattan. I began my teaching career working in a gifted and talented school, and then went on to teach in an integrated co-teaching setting. I taught 5th grade (all subjects) as well as 5th and 6th grade Social Studies in a departmentalized structure. I am a proud product of the New York City school system myself. During my time in the classroom I worked on piloting the Common Core Standards before they were adopted on a national level. Along with attending various educational conferences and professional development workshops, I have also spent a lot of time creating my own social studies, literacy, and math curriculum that is aligned to the standards for my own use. I have created units for teachers in New York City public schools to use as well. I have my Master's Degree in Literacy Education, birth through sixth grade, and also am certified and licensed in Gifted Education, birth to 12 as well as Special Education, birth through second grade. All items on my TPT account have been tested and tried in my own classrooms! Hope you find what you're looking for to help make your life easier!
