Experience

I've been teaching science for nearly 30 years, mainly at the middle school level - though I have taught lower school science and even did some part time work at the college level. I was the science coordinator at a previous school, and am currently the science and social studies curriculum coordinator at Learning Community Charter School in Jersey City, NJ

Teaching style

In a word - or two - hands on. I enjoy developing engaging projects and activities for my students, and rarely use textbooks. we've done everything from build the New York - New Jersey skylines to create life-size models of farm animals.
