About the store

Experience tutoring students in grades K-12 in all subject areas. Classroom aide in a special education classroom for five years and currently employed full time as a teacher in a public Montessori school, teaching grades 4/5/6. I have been teaching for six years. I also teach and mentor to young girls in grades 4-6 by teaching after school dance classes and holding girls circles, where girls discuss issues that are important to their growth and development.

This is a set of 23 three part cards that students use to learn about the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Cards are meant to be matched by students in three parts. This set of 14 individual pictures with text can be made into cards that will teach students about the landforms of Africa. The cards are a great follow-up to lessons, good independent exploration, and great for small group and individual independent work. It's not only a hands on comprehension, geography activity but can be used to lead students into more in depth research and writing.

Teach kids active reading skills (ask questions, predict, summarize, clarify, synthesize) using these bookmarks. These bookmarks come ready to print double sided and should be cut out individually. These 32 small colored math cards (16 pictures, 16 definitions) should be printed on card stock, cut up separately or with the definitions printed on the back, and stored in small plastic bags (jewelry). My own education history

Graduated summa cum laude from the University of Alaska Anchorage with a degree in elementary education. I'm currently pursuing a degree in health and physical education.

Additional biographical information

I teach a multi-age classroom of 4th, 5th, and 6th years in a public Montessori school. This is my sixth year of teaching using the Montessori method and the core of our curriculum is not textbook based. All of the materials posted here are materials that I have used in the classroom with tremendous success in motivating students who enjoy a hand-ons manipulative approach to teaching and learning. I'm also a home school parent as well, so I have experience developing curriculum that motivates and stimulates learning!
