Students take on the role of journalist and write accounts of what happened after the ogre fell, Jack became wealthy, and he married a princess. There are four different activities included, so students can choose based on interest level or they can be grouped together to make it a team project. Enjoy!
This is a great activity to do after you have introduced China to your class. It contains a pre-assessment as well as a cool group activity that will give students a different method of showing what they know. This game is similar to a well-known game called Contig. The students must multiply a two digit number by a one digit number and use strategy to determine where to place their game marker on the board. This math challenge is in the format of an Exemplar, so students have multiple steps and it requires critical thinking. This is a great activity to give to students that need an extra challenge.
