This is a test based on the Go Math! Curriculum and the CCLS. It is only to measure students rote skills ability, not word problems. It can be used to assess where students are with previous skills prior to preparing for state tests. It goes from place value through multiplication with decimals. Work is in order by topic and written in the form seen in Go Math! tests. Answer key included.

This is the first lesson for Connected Mathematics- 6th grade. This is not the strictest following of the Connected Math model, but intended as easy to use for people new to the curriculum. This smartboard lesson uses the authentic situation of having too much leftover pizza to fit in the fridge. The solution, add the fractions of the pizza to make mixed numbers. Has visual of refrigerator and pizza situation as well as movable pizza boxes and slices. Students can move the slices themselves to combine them. Ends with problem practice.
