These simple two pages are suitable as guided activities for distance/virtual learning. Page 1: Nouns Tic-Tac-Toe (Activity Sheet) Students will brainstorm a bunch of common nouns, focusing on ones that identify people, places, and things. Write each one on a small piece of paper. A chart to record and log assessments on letter recognition and phonics knowledge, in SATIPN order.
The file contains the same charts, twice. Print your preferred style (both charts on one sheet in portrait, or one chart per sheet in landscape). Each chart has been created to assess one student over a period of time. It will be helpful to look at the progress of their learning, strengths, and needs.

English Language Arts, Phonics & Phonological Awareness
A chart to record and log assessments on number recognition (0-10) and counting (0-10). There is an additional column for jotting down notes, such as, 1-to-1 correspondence, personal counting strategies, use of references/resources, etc.
Each chart has been created to assess one student over a period of time. It is helpful to document the progress of their learning; a very useful tool for reporting!

A word problem introducing the measurement of area using non-standard units. This file would be best used as a way to introduce non-standard units and practice using a variety of concrete materials (i.e. connecting blocks) to measure and subsequently order the different shapes based on their areas.
May be used as a Minds On activity.
